Perhaps it’s the gentle cardio workout, or the full attention that you bring to each movement, the beautiful awareness of your body and happiness of the music. Truly dance is a perfect way to revel in the body that you have and the joy of the moment. Whether you have a partner, or take a class on your own, or come with us on our MixMomma meetups, just come out and dance with us. You’ll find yourself happier and starting out your year on the right foot.
Line-Dancing:
Learn how to do Chicago-style line dancing with Charles Doss Jr. at the Kasbah on Tuesday nights from 5:30 or 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. This high energy yet smooth dance style is just the kind of fun workout that can be done for hours. And while the step counter can get as high as 15,000 your feet and knees will thank you by keeping the rhythm.

Salsa and Bachata:
Or maybe it’s time to try a class that lets you dance the night away. La Rumba is a salsa and bachata classes on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. The class usually begins are 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. and then you can spend the night practicing your new moves!
