Robots have arrived in Denver!
The new exhibit at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science is a fantastic way to excite the imagination of kids and their grown ups! From robots who are assisting in the medical field to robots that can use reasoning to play games, the future is here.
Some of the most interesting features of the exhibit are the hands-on activities. Kids can create mini-bots using cubes called Cubelets from Modular Robotics, a Boulder-based company. Or design their own circuit boards using Snap Circuit kits.
My little crew found the hands-on activities so engaging it was difficult to pull them away from the mini-bots and circuit board activities. But they did play card games with the robots and even watched one cheat on the tic-tac-toe which was hilarious since it had shifty eyes to boot! We rounded out the visit with a stop in the Chocolate exhibit (free) and a wonderful time in the new Morgridge Family Exploration Center.
